Bough-Wow!
Earlier in the year I was contacted by good friend and Dallas realtor, Ralph Randall, about designing a Christmas tree to benefit an organization he supports, Artreach-Dallas. Artreach-Dallas is anorganization in Dallas whose sole purpose is arts outreach to hundreds of social and educational organizations. Their mission is to ensure access to the arts and cultural events for economically disadvantaged children and adults, the disabled, and the elderly. The tree was to be sponsored by our dear friends and clients Joyce and Larry Lacerte, and ultimately end up at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, where it would be displayed through the holidays.
Always happy to support our friends in their philanthropic efforts (not to mention support the arts in Dallas), Hayslip Design Associates was honored to decorate a tree, which will be featured (along with contributions from other talented designers) at Artreach-Dallas’ holiday event, Bough Wow!, on Sunday, November 28 at Turtle Creek’s beautiful Arlington Hall.
Inspired by our tree’s intended destination, Children’s Medical Center, Stephanie Pearce, Tabatha Hamm and I (along with input from floral guru Junior Villanueva from The Garden Gate) chose a whimsical woodland theme, and adorned the tree with gleaming ornaments, happy little forest creatures, scented pinecones, and sparkling bittersweet branches tucked here and there.
Before Eveready Services delivered the tree to Arlington Hall, it stood in our office library, exciting us for the upcoming holiday season.
